Panel removal & reinstall

Solar panel removal and reinstall for your new roof

Replacing your roof means your panels have to come off first. We remove them, store them safely and put them back working.

Before a re-roof

Why this matters before a re-roof

Roofers know roofs, but disconnecting and reconnecting a solar array is electrical work that needs a licensed solar contractor. Done badly, it can damage panels, void warranties or leave a system unsafe.

We coordinate directly with your roofer so the panels come down on time, stay protected and go back up as soon as the new roof is ready.

How it works

Four steps from survey to switch-on

A clear sequence, so your roofer, your utility and your system all stay on schedule.

  1. Survey and photos

We document your array, wiring and roof layout so everything returns exactly where it was.

  2. Remove and store

We disconnect power safely, lift the panels and rails, and store them protected until needed.

  3. Roofer works

Your roofer replaces the roof. We stay in touch so the handover date is never a surprise.

  4. Reinstall, test and warranty

We refit the array, test every circuit and confirm output. Our workmanship is covered in writing.

Before you start

Things to check before you book

System age

Older systems may have brittle mounts or discontinued parts. We'll flag anything worth replacing while the panels are off.

Permits

Many jobs need permits for the electrical disconnect and reconnect. We handle the paperwork.

Roofer timing

Tell us your roofer's start date early so we can schedule removal ahead of it.

Critter guards

Mesh guards stop birds and squirrels nesting under panels. It's cheapest to add them during reinstall.
