Solar pool heating

A warmer pool for more of the year

Simple roof collectors use sunshine to heat your pool water, with almost no running cost once they're installed. We also repair systems others fitted.

Why solar pool heat

Why homeowners choose solar for the pool

Low running cost

After installation, sunshine does the heating. The only power used is your existing pool pump.

Longer season

Swim earlier in spring and later in autumn without a gas or electric heater bill.

Quiet operation

There's no burner or compressor to hum beside the patio. Water simply flows through the collectors.

Long working life

Well-fitted collectors can run for many years with basic checks and occasional servicing.

How it works

Pump, collectors, back to the pool

Your existing pump pushes water up to the roof, where it flows through black collectors that absorb the sun's heat. The warmed water returns to the pool.

A small controller opens the valves only when the roof is hotter than the pool, so you never lose heat on cool nights. Most installs take a day or two.

Existing systems

Repairs and service for the system you already have

Pool collectors face years of sun, heat and chemicals. Cracked headers, leaking fittings, stuck valves and failed controllers are all common and usually fixable.

We inspect, pressure-test and repair, and we'll tell you honestly if replacement makes more sense than another repair.
